Crazy

Gnarls Barkley is one of my favorite new artists of the year. I loved Danger Mouse and I loved Cee-Lo each on their own, but together they are more than the sum of their parts. The video for their first single off their album, “St. Elsewhere” consists of haunting, animated, shifting shapes based on Rorschach inkblots. How apropos for the title: “Crazy”.

…to being a shut-in. Despite evidence supporting the many positive effects of having a social support network (in both physical and mental health), Americans are becoming more socially isolated.

Even Worse Than That Stupid Frog

Yahoo! news reports on a high frequency ringtone that is inaudible to most adults. It's being used by teenagers to receive messages in classrooms that ban cellphones.

I can hear it, so my students better not get any ideas. Although, I'm thinking that the adult would be the least of a student's worries. The tone is so annoying that the other students might have a bone to pick if it's used repeatedly during class.
